Salud mental y desempeño académico en estudiantes universitarios peruanos

Una buena salud mental influye en un adecuado rendimiento académico. Existe una alta prevalencia de enfermedades mentales entre jóvenes universitarios. Determinar la relación entre la salud mental y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes universitarios peruanos. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica, se seleccionaron tres bases de datos: Scopus, PubMed, Scielo. Se obtuvieron 2,617 artículos que luego del cribado y selección, en base a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión se seleccionaron 7 artículos para el análisis final. Se encuentra que la salud mental es un factor importante en el adecuado desempeño académico entre estudiantes universitarios. Una buena salud mental es importante para un adecuado desempeño académico. Se recomienda a las universidades la implementación de programas de salud mental y terapia psicológica que permita prevenir y fortalecer la salud mental y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes universitarios.
