Violencia intrafamiliar en tiempos de pandemia y aislamiento social

Resumen

Con el objetivo de describir el comportamiento de la violencia intrafamiliar en tiempos de pandemia y aislamiento social se realizó una revisión narrativa. Como fuentes de información se utilizaron artículos en bases de datos como Pubmed, BMC y LILACS sobre violencia doméstica en el contexto de COVID-19, en cualquiera de sus manifestaciones: violencia física, económica, psicológica, o sexual, con sujetos de cualquier edad y sexo, con diseño analítico, observacional, revisiones sistemáticas, metaanálisis, en las que se hayan utilizado instrumentos validados para medir la violencia doméstica. Se incluyeron 50 artículos, con una población de 28.240 sujetos. Se describe un incremento en las cifras de violencia intrafamiliar en el contexto de la pandemia. Las formas de violencia doméstica más frecuentes fueron: psicológica, física, sexual, económica. Aunque esto puede suceder con todos los convivientes del hogar, las mujeres parecen ser las más afectadas. La violencia doméstica, aunque era un problema serio antes de la pandemia y el aislamiento por COVID-19, ha experimentado un incremento notable después de esto en todas sus manifestaciones. La prevención de la violencia doméstica en el contexto de la pandemia debería estar basada en la educación, la identificación de familias de riesgo, el desarrollo de relaciones familiares satisfactorias.
